What to Do:
Depending on the time of the visit, there are always recreational activities and events going on. Swiss Days, held on Labor Day weekend is one of the largest events held in Midway. This event takes place in Town Square and has local arts and crafts and entertainment for your enjoyment.

Soldier Hollow:  is renowned for its outdoor activities year-round, but especially in the winter when cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and a tubing hill are open and thriving with deep snow from nature or man-made if needed.

Homestead Crater: is the largest of the hot springs and offers year-round scuba diving, swimming, or soaking. The temperature is consistently in the low to mid-68 °C, and the spring is deep at 20 meters and 17 meters high with a diameter of 152 meters. There are several dozen hot springs in the area, but this is not only the biggest but is also open to the public.

Park City, Utah: is just a shuttle or car ride away and offers all the winter sports activities and is home to Olympic Park where hopeful athletes practice their skills. Restaurants, bars, and shops abound in this city and you have free public transportation.
Olympic Park offers all of the usual winter activities plus zip-lining, bob-sledding, snowboarding, and much more for visitors who have always wanted to try these sports.

Where to Stay:
There are many resorts, hotels, and cabins in this area and a lot of the resorts offer ski in - ski out options in the winter months. Also, Midway is the award-winning resort voted the best in Utah.

When to Visit:
Any time of the year is beautiful and offers many activities such as horseback riding, renting ATVs for a ride through the valley, swimming, and camping in the spring and summer, but winter is when this area shines.

Getting There:
If you are in the United States there are many options for arriving in this charming town. If you are flying then the best option is arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah, and then renting a car or arranging for a shuttle to take you to Midway. Driving is also an easy option from anywhere in the United States, but in the winter the snow and ice can make it a little difficult if you are not used to driving in those conditions, although snowplows are used to keep the roads cleared, travelers that are driving need to take caution.

What to Take:
Warm clothing, gloves, and hats in the winter are a must, and be sure and drink lots of water because even in the winter you can get dehydrated if you are out for hours participating in all of the winter activities. Snow equipment such as skis, ski poles, and goggles can be rented from any of the ski resorts if travelers do not want to bring their own.
